Monument Washington D.C is obelisk shaped monument that located in the center area of ??the National Mall in the U.S. capital, Washington. D.C. Monument Washington D.C was erected to commemorate the first President of the United States, and leader of the Continental Army that won independence from Britain USA. Monument Washington D.C is made from granite, marble and sandstone and designed by Robert Mills, one of the architects famous in United States at the 1840s. Inside there a variety of beautiful plaque donated from around the world. Construction of the monument began in 1848 and only completed in 1884, nearly 30 years after Robert Mills died. Development takes a very long time due to lack of funds and disruption caused by the United States Civil War. The laying first stone made ??on July 4, 1848, and last stone on December 6, 1884. After construction is completed, this monument which reach a height 169 meters and holds the world record for tallest building.
